What is Landing Page Optimization
Landing page Optimization is a part of Internet marketing strategy process known as Conversation Optimization. The main aim of doing this is to increase the traffic to your site. The increased traffic means more visitors, more visitors means more sales, more sales means more profit.
Point To Remember while doing Landing page Optimization
Make sure that while doing optimization, plan how you want pages to be. Because it is not possible to optimize pages for all the search terms. make sure you follow appropriate optimization techniques so that it comes at the top positions in the search results. Also be sure that when visitors visit that page it should be connected to the main website other wise web crawlers will not find them.And they will not be indexed by the search engines.
Types of Landing Page Optimization (LPO):-
A) Based on targeting:
1) Associative content targeting :- Such type of optimization is done by keeping in view the user's behavior, what is the main traffic source for your website an on the basis of very general parameters. This information can be used for customer's satisfaction.
2) Predictive content targeting :- It is also known as Active targeting. This type of optimization is done by comparing the information of the visitors. The information is regarding the purchase behavior of the visitor, browsing patters of the visitors e.t.c . based on this information, optimizers try to predict the future actions.
3) Consumer directed targeting :- This type of targeting is also known as Social targeting. Here the content of the page is created by checking the available information on the basis of reviews, ratings and relevance.
B) Based on experimentation:
1) Closed-ended experimentation :- Here Customers are made to go through number of landing pages and at the same time their reaction is also analysed. At the end that page is selected which has gained the best reaction from the customers.
2) Open-ended experimentation :- Here the same landing page is adjusted as per the needs of the customers as the experiment result changes.
